10-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after DUI Accident near Tarke Road in Sutter County

 
Sutter County, CA (April 20, 2020) – Sunday evening, a 10-year-old boy was killed while Tony Kesterson was arrested after a DUI crash on Highway 20.
 
California Highway Patrol received crash reports around 6:30 p.m., April 19. First responders arrived just east of Tarke Road. Upon CHP’s arrival, they located a 2007 Ford Fusion and a pickup-truck.
 
According to reports, the 29-year-old driver of the Ford, Kesterson was with a 10-year-old boy, both from Colusa. As he was speeding down the highway, he crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into a concrete wall.
 
There, an oncoming pickup-truck unable to stop in time eventually collided into the Ford’s right rear side.
 
Due to the extreme impact, officials pronounced the young boy dead on scene while Kesterson suffered severe injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver’s identity and current condition remain undisclosed.
 
At this time, Kesterson is currently booked into the Sutter County Jail, facing charges for driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
 
Furthermore, Kesterson’s bail then set for $150,000, and his arraignment will be on April 22, 2020, at the Sutter County Courthouse.
