1 Hospitalized in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident near 59th Avenue and Baseline Road
PHOENIX, AZ (August 4, 2021) – Tuesday morning, a boy sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash near 59th Avenue and Baseline Road.
According to Phoenix Fire Department, the incident happened at around 8:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred near 59th Avenue and Baseline Road.
Reports revealed that a vehicle struck a Betty Fairfax High School student. The victim was a 14-year-old boy walking to school and walked in between a backup of vehicles.
Furthermore, responders rushed the victim to a hospital with serious injuries.
Moreover, the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities, Phoenix Police Sgt. Vincent Cole said.
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that speed or impairment played a role in the incident.
