Montgomery Street Crash in Chula Vista Injures a Boy on Scooter
Chula Vista, CA (December 30, 2020) – Wednesday afternoon, a 6- or 7-year-old boy suffers a broken leg after crashing into a car while riding his electric scooter on Montgomery Street.
The Chula Vista crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. on December 30, near Otay Park.
According to reports, the boy darted in front of a 2009 Toyota Corolla as the car headed east on Montgomery Street toward Albany Avenue near Otay Park.
Emergency personnel took the boy to Rady Children’s Hospital to treat the injury, which, luckily, was not considered life-threatening.
Meanwhile, the Corolla’s driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Moreover, police said the driver was not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
