Boy Fatally Struck by Train in Santa Clara Intersection
SANTA CLARA, CA (November 18, 2019) – A boy was fatally struck by a train at Lafayette Street and Highway 101 Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 4:19 p.m. A Union Pacific train struck a young boy who was walking in the area.
The boy died in the collision. The authorities withheld his name pending family notification.
The cause and circumstances leading to the incident were not immediately clear. However, further investigation is underway.
