1 Killed in Stateline Auto Accident on Interstate 15 near Yates Well Road
STATELINE, CA (April 4, 2023) – Saturday night, a 4-month-old boy died in a tragic 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Yates Well Road.
The incident happened at around 10:06 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15 near the Yates Well Road exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound semi-car hauler and a Chevrolet Malibu sedan collided for still unknown reasons.
Then, the force of the crash sent the semi rolling over, ejecting vehicles off the trailer. Also, the Chevrolet Malibu sedan and the vehicles from the hauler erupted into flames after the crash.
Moreover, officers confirmed that family members and samaritans attempted to reach into the burning sedan to rescue the 4-month-old boy. However, the fire was too intense. Then, paramedics transported one person to St. Rose Hospital with unknown injuries.
Furthermore, the incident closed multiple lanes of the interstate but has all long since reopened.
Meanwhile, the deadly crash remained under investigation.
