1 Killed and 1 Hurt in Victorville Auto Accident on Interstate 15 near Palmdale Road
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 10, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a 4-month-old boy died in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 15 near Palmdale Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 3:10 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Interstate 15, south of Palmdale Road.
Reports revealed that a northbound Hyundai SUV failed to slow down and rear-ended a slow-moving vehicle ahead. Then, the second vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene after the collision.
Moreover, responders rushed a 4-month-old boy sitting in the right rear passenger seat of the Hyundai to Victor Valley Global Medical Center. However, he later died at the hospital. Meanwhile, the female driver of the Hyundai sustained minor injuries. Also, a 4-year-old male passenger suffered no injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, officials confirmed that the female driver failed to wear a seat belt at the time of the crash. Also, the authorities haven’t clarified whether the infant’s child seat was properly installed or used.
