PETALUMA, CA (July 4, 2019) – A boy on a bicycle suffered serious injuries in a accident on Lakeville Street and East Court Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Petaluma police said a vehicle struck the boy while he was crossing at Lakeville Street and East Court at about 3:20 p.m. They confirmed that the collision occurred in a crosswalk.
 
Officers said that a helicopter transported the boy to Children’s Hospital Oakland with serious injuries. The driver stopped after the collision as per the police.
 
They issued a public alert at about 3:40 p.m. to advise drivers to avoid westbound Lakeville Street from Lindberg Lane to Wilson Street.
