29-Year-Old Driver Arrested after DUI Crash on Golden Gate Avenue
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 10, 2019) – A 12-year-old boy suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Golden Gate Avenue, Tuesday afternoon.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the incident happened at about 4:44 PM. A vehicle attempted to turn at a high rate of speed near Leavenworth Street. There, it hit a boy crossing the street.
Emergency responders rushed the boy to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Recent updates say that the victim’s condition has gone from critical to stable.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the driver, identified as 29-year-old Miguel Frojas, for felony driving under the influence, driving without a valid driver’s license, and for not yielding to a pedestrian. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
