Bonifacio Sixto Carachure Dies Days After Tragic Traffic Accident on Cota Street
Santa Barbara, CA (January 6, 2024) On December 7, 80-year-old Bonifacio Carachure was struck by a pickup truck in the Garden Street pedestrian crash.
According to authorities, the fatal traffic accident happened as Carachure was walking home from a grocery store when a vehicle struck him at the intersection of Garden and Cota Streets, a block away from his home.
Carachure suffered several broken bones and internal bleeding, officials say that he then developed an aggressive form of pneumonia.
Authorities say that Carachure died 10 days after being taken to the hospital.
Carachure’s loved ones created a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral expenses.
