Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with 2 Other Vehicles on 880 Freeway in Oakland
OAKLAND, CA (October 23, 2019) – A man died in a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon in Oakland.
Around 4:15 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers responded to southbound lanes of 880 Freeway south of the Fifth Street on-ramp and found the rider lying in a traffic lane.
Paramedics rushed the rider to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The coroner’s bureau identified the victim as Bolaji Famuyiwa, 31, of Sacramento.
According to an initial report, a white Chevrolet pickup truck and a silver Mercedes-Benz were also involved in the crash.
The CHP is investigating the crash to determine the cause and factors involved.
