Bobby Moreno and Cruz Moreno Killed in Collision on Interstate 27 [Lubbock, TX]

Lubbock, TX (October 21, 2024) – Bobby Moreno, 38, and Cruz Moreno, 40, were fatally injured following a collision on Interstate 27 Saturday night.

The Lubbock Police officers responded at 8:37 p.m. to the traffic accident at the intersection with Regis Street.

Investigators said Bobby Moreno, Cruz Moreno, and Briana Arredondo, 20, were in a southbound vehicle when Bobby Moreno and Cruz Moreno got into an argument. 

Cruz Moreno and Arredondo got out of the vehicle and started walking, and a southbound SUV struck them.

Bobby Moreno then got out of the vehicle to check on them, but, he and Cruz Moreno were then hit by a southbound pickup truck.

Bobby Moreno and Cruz Moreno were declared deceased at the scene while Briana Arredondo was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The authorities are conducting a further investigation.
