I-5 DUI Collision Injures Blake Snell’s Passenger
San Diego, CA (August 20, 2022) – On Thursday, Blake Snell of the San Diego Padres was involved in a traffic crash on Interstate 5 wherein his passenger was injured.
The traffic incident took place before 11 p.m. on the northbound freeway near Carmel Valley Road and state Route 56.
Snell pulled off to the right shoulder of the freeway when a suspected drunken driver in a Toyota sedan swerved and struck the driver’s side of Snell’s stopped car.
Blake Snell did not sustain injuries in the collision, while a passenger in his Mercedes-Benz sedan incurred pain.
The paramedics evaluated and later released Snell’s passenger without the need to go to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the is no information as to what prompted the officer to pull over Snell’s car.
