Blake Garza and Naomi Harry Die in DUI Crash on Spur 327 [Lubbock, TX]

Driver Arrested in Lubbock Fatal Crash

Lubbock, TX (March 28, 2024) – 20-year-old Blake Garzaa and 18-year-old Naomi Harry were killed following a DUI crash on Spur 327 Wednesday night.

The rescuers arrived before 10 p.m. to the fatal collision at the 6500 block of Spur 327 on Milwaukee Avenue.

Officers said Garza was driving an eastbound passenger car with Harry riding as a passenger. 

At the same time, Anthony Washington, 30, was driving a southbound SUV south on Milwaukee Avenue.

Sadly, the two vehicles collided.

Harry died at the crash scene while Garza was transported to UMC where he later died.

Washington suffered minor injuries and was later apprehended. Officers charged him with two counts of intoxication and manslaughter and one count of resisting arrest.

Washington is booked at the Lubbock County Detention Center. A bond has not yet been set.
