21-Year-Old Riverside Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Collision with Semi-Truck near La Sierra Avenue

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (June 1, 2018) – A man was killed Friday afternoon after his motorcycle struck a semi-truck on Cajalco Road. Authorities identified the man as 21-year-old Blake Coleman, a resident of Riverside.
 
According to police reports, the incident took place at around 3:45 PM near La Sierra Avenue. Coleman was on his motorcycle along Cajalco Road when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a semi-truck.
 
The rider sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. There were no reports about the condition of the semi-truck driver, of his identity. It is also unknown if the driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with officials during their investigation.
 
Cajalco Road, between La Sierra Avenue and Temescal Canyon Road, was temporarily shut down for investigation and cleanup. It later reopened at about 8 PM. An investigation is currently ongoing to determine the cause of the deadly collision. No additional information is available to the public at this time.
