Hesperia Police Investigates Disastrous 2-Vehicle Collision on Mariposa Road
Hesperia, CA (August 7, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, a male passenger was seriously hurt after a big rig crash on Mariposa Road.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire, the 2-vehicle collision happened around 3:40 p.m. on Mariposa Road on the curve between Mesa Streets and Eucalyptus Street.
Reports say that a northbound black Audi sedan drove into the right dirt shoulder of the roadway then the driver corrected back, however, the vehicle was in the path of a big rig traveling in the other lane.
The big rig driver was not able to dodge the vehicle and collided with the passenger side of the sedan. The impact of the crash caused serious injuries to the male passenger.
Medics transported the patient to Desert Valley Hospital and subsequently airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Officials say that the big rig driver was not injured in the crash.
Hesperia PD is investigating the 2-vehicle collision and have not released additional information at this time.
