Bicyclist Struck and Injured by Pickup Truck near Napier Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 14, 2019) – A bicyclist sustained head injuries in a crash in the 2000 block of Morena Boulevard on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened near Napier Street at approximately 10:05 PM.
Based on a report, the victim traveled northbound holding a second bicycle with his right hand. Without reflectors or lights, the bicycle was then struck by a 2004 Toyota Tundra driven by a 67-year-old man driving.
The 27-year-old cyclist suffered a life-threatening head injury.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash. However, an investigation is ongoing.
