Bicyclist Struck and Injured by Car on Nevada Street [Spokane, WA]

1 Injured in Spokane Bicycle Accident

SPOKANE, WA (July 25, 2019) – A bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after a car struck him on Nevada Street on July 23.

The Spokane Police Department said that officers responded on North Nevada Street for a vehicle and bicycle collision. As a result, responders transported the cyclist to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The rider sustained significant injuries including internal and numerous broken bones. However, he is expected to survive.

Meanwhile, the vehicle driver remained at the scene. Authorities also evaluated the vehicle driver for drug intoxication, it’s a standard procedure for all serious collisions.

Police did not release any other information about the accident at this time. Authorities are still looking into the possibility of impairment as a contributing factor in the crash.
