Unidentified Bicyclist Hospitalized in Coachella Valley Car Crash
COACHELLA VALLEY, CA (March 25, 2019) – Monday morning, a bicyclist was struck and injured by a minivan on Cook Street.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Vasquez stated the accident occurred just before 11:00 AM near the intersection of Highway 111 and Cook Street.
First responders arrived immediately and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. The driver stayed on scene and was cooperating with police. Due to the collision, the westbound lanes were closed for a period of time.
Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash following preliminary investigation. No more details surrounding the accident have been disclosed to the public.
