Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Elk Grove Florin Road Hit-and-Run Crash [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento, CA (April 23, 2022) – On Thursday night, a bicyclist sustained injuries in an Elk Grove Florin Road hit-and-run crash.

Officers say the incident took place before 11 p.m. near Bridalsmith Drive.

Two cyclists were northbound in the bike lane when one of them was hit by a northbound four-door pickup truck.

Reports say the vehicle immediately fled the scene after the accident.

The paramedics took the victim to a hospital with major injuries. 

According to the investigators, the involved vehicle was a white Ford pickup truck with a model year between about 2008 and 2016 with a missing passenger-side mirror

Meanwhile, the other cyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers’ investigation.
