Bicyclist Killed in DUI Crash on Adams Boulevard near Cloverdale Avenue [SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA]

Driver Arrested in Fatal DUI Bicycle Crash on Adams Boulevard in South Los Angeles

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (November 23, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed in a suspected DUI crash early Saturday morning in the West Adams neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
 
The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on Adams Boulevard near Cloverdale Avenue.
 
According to authorities, the bicyclist was traveling westbound on Adams Boulevard when a dark-colored sedan struck him. The impact sent the bicyclist down on the ground and his bicycle was mangled.
 
Paramedics pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
 
Police arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. They warned residents not to drink and drive.
 
Further investigation of this crash is underway.
