Joseph Prandoni Identified as Bicyclist Killed in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Collision
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 06, 32019) – A 32-year-old bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Manchester Avenue and South Gramercy Place Saturday, February 23, at around 9 p.m.
The Los Angeles Police Department released a surveillance video from the area. It showed a gray Nissan Cube hit 32-year-old Joseph Prandoni, a Door Dash delivery man.
Detective Ryan Moreno said the driver of the Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck Prandoni from behind. No description of the driver has been released aside from them fleeing the scene after hitting the victim.
Prandoni’s sister Noel urged the driver to surrender to authorities and take responsibility for their actions. She said that she doesn’t wish anything bad upon them. Noel hopes that there’s some way that they can actually improve their own life.
A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the driver. The police and Prandoni’s relatives are urging anyone with information to come forward and call the following hotlines: Detectives (323) 421-2500, (877) LAPD-247, and Crime Stoppers (800) 222-TIPS.
