41-Year-Old Hospitalized in San Diego Traffic Accident
San Diego, CA (November 2, 2023) – A 41-year-old bicyclist sustained injuries following a West Point Loma Boulevard collision Monday night.
The traffic accident happened at about 9 p.m. in the 4300 block area.
Investigators said the bicyclist was riding with no lights on and wearing dark clothing when she was struck by a westbound 2011 Black Lexus RX450.
Rescuers took the woman to a hospital with a fractured pelvis.
SDPD Traffic Division officers said alcohol did not play a role and they are still investigating the collision.
Avoid Traffic Accidents
The traffic accident rate in California continues to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.
The increasing crash rate reflects that auto accidents are becoming rampant. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
That is why it is crucial to focus on the road and practice safe driving to prevent road accidents.
