Driver Wanted after Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Bicyclist on Nimitz Boulevard
POINT LOMA HEIGHTS, CA (September 6, 2019) – A 64-year-old bicyclist suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Nimitz Boulevard, Friday evening.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 11:00 PM. The victim was northbound in the bike lane of the 4000 block Nimitz Boulevard. There, a northbound vehicle struck or sideswiped the bicyclist.
The victim suffered an open pelvic fracture and several other life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle did not remain at the scene and fled the area.
