Maricopa County, AZ (March 29, 2024) – On Friday evening, a bicyclist sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Happy Valley and El Mirage Road

A bicyclist is fighting for his life in a Valley hospital after suffering serious injuries in a hit-and-run incident in the northwest Valley, as reported by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. 

According to MCSO, deputies responded to the scene near the intersection of Happy Valley and El Mirage Roads around 6:30 p.m. on Friday after passersby noticed a man in the road. 

This man, who was riding a bike at the time, has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following the hit by a vehicle that then fled the scene. 

Traffic detectives are currently investigating the crash site. 

The identity of the victim remains undisclosed, and MCSO has not provided any information regarding the vehicle involved.
