Independence, MO (July 29, 2024) – A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash near Noland Road.

It was about 7:25 p.m. when a 2010 Ford Edge pulling out of a private driveway has struck a bicyclist near Noland Court.

The victim taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

The Ford driver continued northbound on Noland Road after the collision.

Moreover, several witnesses followed the Ford and eventually blocked the driver while waiting for the authorities.

Responding officers took the suspect into custody.

Officers are still investigating this collision.
