Bicyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Outer Highway 18 [Apple Valley, CA]

Apple Valley, CA (November 23, 2024) –  A bicyclist was injured following a hit-and-run crash on Outer Highway 18 Thursday night.

It was around 6 p.m. on November 21 when the collision happened west of Tao Road, near the Desert Knolls Center. 

Responding officers located a male down in the roadway with a broken bike in half. His personal belongings, a shoe, a hat, and a broken cell phone, were scattered across the roadway. 

A Reach helicopter airlifted the bicyclist to an out-of-area hospital.

The Apple Valley Police Department is investigating the collision.
