Bicycle Rider Hospitalized after Crash near Sullivan Road
SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (October 25, 2018) – A bicycle rider was injured in a collision near Sprague Avenue on Thursday evening.
Based on the preliminary investigation conducted by Spokane Valley police, the driver was pulling out of a parking spot when he struck the bicyclist. Emergency responders arrived and found the cyclist conscious and alert. The victim was then rushed to a nearby hospital in ambulance, with possible serious injuries.
Officers were expected to be at the scene for the next few hours in the surrounding area to investigate the incident, and drivers were advised to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
