12-Year-Old Bicyclist Hurt after Sacramento Car Crash on Sutterville Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 24, 2019) – A bicyclist suffered injuries after a car crash on Sutterville Road on Tuesday, October 22.
At about 7:40 a.m., a 12-year-old girl rode a bicycle on Sutterville Road near Mead Avenue. Then a vehicle struck her, according to a Sacramento Police Department spokesperson. Emergency responders rushed her to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police said that the driver, a 17-year-old boy, remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. It doesn’t appear that he is under the influence.
Officials closed Sutterville Road from South Land Park Drive to Freeport Boulevard during the investigation.
