Bike Rider Hospitalized after Riding on Bike Trail in Temecula

 
TEMECULA, CA (January 29, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon, a bicyclist was injured on a bike trail near the Vail Lake Resort.
 
According to officials, the accident occurred around 3:15 PM in an unincorporated part of Riverside County. As per reports, a good samaritan called to report that a person had been hurt while riding a his bicycle on a bike trail at the resort.
 
Riverside County Fire Department located the victim and treated the patient who suffered major injuries on scene, before he was airlifted by Reach Air Ambulance to a nearby hospital. His current medical condition is unclear at this time.
 
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
