Hit-and-Run Crash on S Puget Sound Avenue Injured Bicyclist
Tacoma, WA (August 10, 2020) – On Saturday, a 34-year-old male bicyclist sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on S Puget Sound Avenue.
The accident occurred at about 2 a.m. in the 5000 block of the area.
Tacoma police said two vehicles were crashing with each other. Just then, the second car which was a white Ford Explorer struck a bicyclist. As a result of the impact, the bicyclist propelled into a parked car.
The car continued driving and collided into a building after failing to turn.
Authorities said the driver fled on foot and haven’t been found yet.
Meanwhile, rescuers took the bicyclist to a hospital for surgery on non-fatal injuries.
