1 Injured in San Diego Bicycle Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 15, 2019) – A bicycle rider was taken to a hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries in a crash with a car on January 13.
The incident occurred about 6:10 p.m. on Fulton Street and Linda Vista Road, San Diego Police Officer John Buttle revealed.
According to Buttle, a northbound 2006 Honda sedan driven by a 38-year-old man on Linda Vista Road crashed with a bicyclist who was eastbound on Fulton Street when the bicycle rider entered the intersection near the crosswalk at the north side.
The male rider who was believed to be in his 20s was taken to a hospital with injuries considered to be life-threatening, Buttle added.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Honda was reportedly unharmed and stayed at the scene to help with the investigation.
Drugs or alcohol were ruled out as a factor in the collision. However, Buttle stated that the one at fault is yet to be identified.
