37-Year-Old Pomona Man Fatally Struck by Car on Philadelphia Street in Chino
CHINO, CA (February 1, 2020) – A bicyclist was hit and killed by a car Saturday evening in Chino.
The fatal crash happened around 7:24 p.m. in the 5100 block of Philadelphia Street near Bridger Avenue.
CHP officials said a 37-year-old Pomona man was riding a bike along Philadelphia Street when an unknown vehicle struck him.
Officers arrived and found the victim lying on the pavement, unresponsive. Paramedics transported him to Chino Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with police.
Traffic investigators have yet to determine the cause of the crash. It was also unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
