Bicyclist Dies after Accident on Oso Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA (July 23, 2019) — A bicyclist died after being hit by a truck on Oso Parkway Monday afternoon.
Authorities said the bicycle rider was male and approximately 30 years old. In addition, emergency responders arrived shortly before 2:00 p.m. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department was first to respond to the incident. After that, they found the bicyclist. However, police announced the victim died at the scene.
In addition, the investigators said that the bicyclist did not wear a helmet when he collided with a work truck.
The crash stalled traffic Monday afternoon. Officers shut down westbound Oso Parkway at Antonio Parkway during the subsequent investigation.
