Ernest Keister Dies in Bicycle VS Sedan Crash on 51st Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (May 18, 2022) – Tuesday evening, 60-year-old Ernest Keister died in a crash on 51st Avenue south of Camelback Road.

The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around 7:45 p.m. on May 17.

Phoenix Police said a sedan heading south on 51st Avenue hit Keister while riding his bike.

EMS took Keister to a hospital where he died of his injuries.

The driver of the car remained on the scene.

Police said there was no evidence impairment contributed to the deadly crash.

No other information is immediately available.

Further investigation on this fatal crash is ongoing.
