Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Car on Highway U in Scott County
Scott County, MO (November 15, 2024) On Wednesday evening, a 20-year-old bicyclist from Blodgett was killed after a disastrous traffic collision on Highway U.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the fatal crash happened around 5:19 p.m. west of Blodgett.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the site of a fatal crash involving a bicyclist in Scott County, Missouri.
Authorities say that the collision involved a 23-year-old man from Benton driving eastbound when his car struck the 20-year-old bicyclist who was in the roadway.
Sadly, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
