Bicyclist Dies in South Rita Road DUI Crash [Tucson, AZ]

Tucson, AZ (February 25, 2022) –  On Tuesday, a male bicyclist in 30s lost his life in a South Rita Road DUI crash.

Officers responded to the crash scene at the 8200 Block area involving a 22-year-old Jeep male driver.

When they arrived, the authorities pronounced the unidentified bicyclist dead at the scene.

The emergency team rushed the Jeep driver to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to the investigators, a white 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was recklessly driven. They say it swerved off the roadway onto the sidewalk and struck the bicyclist.
