40-Year-Old Man Killed in Bicycle Crash on South Michigan Street
Seattle, WA (March 26, 2021) – On Wednesday, a 40-year-old bicyclist died in a crash on South Michigan Street.
Officers responded to the crash scene at about 5 p.m. at Corson Avenue South intersection.
When they arrived, officers pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Moreover, reports said a U.S. Postal Service truck was stopped at the intersection facing northbound waiting for a right turn eastbound.
While the driver was waiting for the light, a bicyclist heading north pulled in front of the semi-truck, out of the driver’s view.
Unfortunately, the bicyclist was struck and killed when the truck moved forward.
Furthermore, officers said the driver did not show signs of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Officers continue to investigate the crash.
