Officers Search For Suspect in Hit-and-Run on Grand Boulevard
Venice, CA (December 24, 2021) – On Wednesday, a bicyclist sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Grand Boulevard.
The fatal crash happened at about 9:50 p.m. at the intersection with Venice Boulevard.
Officers said a Chevrolet driver struck the bicycle while doing a U-turn. As a result, the rider was ejected from the bicycle and was sent onto the roadway.
Immediately, the Los Angeles Fire Department rushed him to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
“Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” police said in a release.
