Bicyclist Dies in Hit-and-Run Accident on Wall Street [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (September 30, 2022) – Past 11 p.m. on Thursday, a bicyclist sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Wall Street.

Traffic crews say the fatal incident took place at the intersection with 4th Street.

 A male bicyclist was northbound on Wall Street when he drove into the intersection and was struck by a white work van that dragged him for 3 to 4 feet.

Sadly, the bicyclist lost his life at the crash scene.

A witness, Chris Alcala, says the victim lives in the area as a homeless man who was really nice, and friendly and picked up cans and bottles. 

Moreover, the involved van did not stop and drove away from the accident scene.

Reports say the van is possibly a 1996 to 2022 GMC Savana or Chevrolet Express commercial panel van that has a roof rack and conduit carrier storage tube or box. It may belong to a plumber or construction worker. The LAPD added that the van possibly has front-end damage.

Meanwhile, there is a $50,000 reward for details that leads to the arrest of the hit-and-run driver.
