Male Bicyclist Dead after Crash on South General McMullen in San Antonio
San Antonio, TX (August 4, 2023) – Thursday night, a male bicyclist died in a crash on South General McMullen and Castroville Road.
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on August 3.
SAPD said a man in his 70s was on his bike when he was hit by someone driving a black pickup.
That’s when police say, the victim was dragged into a Valero gas station parking lot by someone driving a white sport utility vehicle that was behind the pickup. The man sustained fatal injuries and died at the crash scene.
Moreover, SAPD said the driver of the SUV was arrested on suspicion of DWI.
Further investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
