Man Killed in Sacramento Bicycle Accident on State Route 99 near Mack Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 18, 2022) – Saturday morning, a bicyclist died in a vehicle crash on State Route 99 near Mack Road.
The incident happened at around 5:05 a.m. on southbound State Route 99 just north of Mack Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound Mazda struck a 64-year-old male bicyclist for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, officers confirmed that the bicyclist succumbed to injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Furthermore, the Mazda driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities. Also, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
