1 Killed in Riverside Bicycle Accident on Indiana Avenue and La Sierra Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 18, 2022) – Saturday night, a bicyclist died in a hit-and-run crash on Indiana Avenue and La Sierra Avenue.
According to Riverside Police Department Sgt. Ryan Taack, the incident happened on eastbound Indiana Avenue and La Sierra Avenue.
Reports revealed that an eastbound 2001 silver Honda Accord traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it struck a bicyclist crossing the roadway. Afterward, the Honda driver fled the scene.
Moreover, responders transported the 48-year-old male bicyclist to a local hospital where he later died.
Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the hit-and-run driver, a 40-year-old man, on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run charges.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
