1 Hospitalized after San Diego Bicycle Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 10, 2018) – A bicycle rider sustained life-threatening head injuries following a crash with an SUV on November 30.
It was around 10:50 p.m. when the officers came to respond in the 7300 block of Paradise Valley Road and found the victim, Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department revealed. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
After an investigation, it was determined that a 52-year-old male driver of a westbound 2018 Nissan Pathfinder on Paradise Valley Road in the No. 1 lane struck the rider, Heims added. According to the driver, he was not able to see where the rider came from.
Alcohol or drugs were ruled out as a factor in the collision. The Traffic Division detectives are currently investigating the incident.
