Bicyclist Critical After Crash on Central Ave and Monroe Street NE in Albuquerque
Albuquerque, NM (August 30, 2024) – On Friday, a bicyclist sustained critical injuries in a crash on Central Ave and Monroe Street NE.
At approximately 12:15 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at Central Ave and Monroe St. NE.
According to witnesses, a person on a bicycle was struck in traffic, causing significant damage to a vehicle’s windshield.
Albuquerque Fire arrived on the scene and quickly transported the pedestrian to UNMH in critical condition.
Central Avenue in both directions will remain closed in this area as APD conducts its investigation.
