Bibiana Retana-Sosa Killed in Venice Boulevard Hit-and-Run Collision [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (November 15, 2023) – 66-year-old Bibiana Retana-Sosa was killed in a Venice Boulevard hit-and-run collision Tuesday morning.

The fatal collision happened at around 6:40 a.m. at the intersection with 12th Avenue in Arlinton Heights.

Responding officers declared Retana-Sosa dead at the crash scene.

According to the chp.ca.gov

Sosa was crossing the street on Venice Boulevard in a marked crosswalk. Suddenly, a white Mazda with California license plate 8XHG132 struck her and continued eastbound on Venice Boulevard.

The city of Los Angeles has a $50,000 reward offered for information that would lead to the suspect’s identification, arrest, and conviction.

Anyone with information was asked to contact LAPD West Traffic Division detectives by calling 213-473-0234 and ask to speak with Officer Franco.
