Fatal Rollover Crash on Intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards
BEVERLY HILLS, CA (April 27, 2018) – A rollover DUI crash on Wilshire Boulevard caused some of the passengers to be ejected from a BMW SUV, resulting in two dead and four injured, early Friday morning.
The fatal accident took place around 1:23 AM in the area of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards. According to reports, the SUV hit a curb, struck a tree, and overturned several times. Video footage of the scene showed the heavily damaged SUV resting on its roof.
All of the female passengers, who were reportedly in their 20’s, were hospitalized. Two died while others sustained minor to critical injuries. The identities and conditions of the women involved have not yet been disclosed.
Police believe that some of the victims were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Alcohol/ drugs and speed are suspected to be involved in the fatal crash. No additional information has been released to the public at this time, as officials continue to investigate.
