The fatal crash happened around 3:32 p.m. on westbound 40 Freeway at mile marker 65.
According to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office, a red 2015 Toyota Rav4 was heading westbound when it failed to negotiate a curve, entered the center divider and struck a rock embankment. The SUV then overturned several times.
