Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Interstate 10 in Banning

Banning, CA (November 18, 2023)– Early Saturday morning, 22-year-old Bernardo Fajardo of Indio died in a crash on Interstate 10.

Reportedly, around 2:30 a.m., a fatal accident occurred on the Westbound I-10 near the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility. The man involved has been identified by the Riverside County Coroner as 22-year-old Bernardo Fajardo of Indio.

Fajardo was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle collided with the back of a big rig, causing it to catch fire.
