Alameda County, CA (December 16, 2024) The Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified 78-year-old Benten Bascombe Brown as the pedestrian who died in the Horrific Crash on Rose Street.

According to Berkeley Police (BPD), the fatal crash happened on Rose Street at Josephine Street on November 14 at around 6:17 p.m.

Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck Brown while he was walking the street.

Berkeley Police reported that Brown was walking south across Rose Street at Josephine Street when an eastbound vehicle struck him.

Emergency responders transported him to Highland Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
