Driver Crashes Through Protesters on Colorado Boulevard
PASADENA, CA (June 6, 2020) – On Sunday, Benjamin Hung was arrested after a car accident involving protesters on Colorado Boulevard.
According to reports, at least two drivers crashed through a group of protesters in Old Pasadena. One of the vehicles fled with a man still on its hood.
In a separate crash, a white pickup truck with flags crashed through the intersection. Then, it blew smoke out of its tailpipe.
The two incidents caused the group of more than a dozen people to scatter. According to reports, the group was peacefully demonstrating starting at noon on Colorado Boulevard and Fair Oaks Avenue.
The group was one of the thousands of people mad over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
According to the Pasadena Police Department, they arrested 28-year-old driver Benjamin Hung from San Marino on suspicion of assault with a vehicle.
Lt. Bill Grisafe revealed that they arrested Hung after he drove the white pickup truck through an occupied crosswalk. Fortunately, no one suffered injuries in the incident.
The police set Benjamin Hung’s bail to $30,000. After posting the bail, the police released Hung.
